Board of Advisors

Nest Community Learning Center is a small, collaborative, community-based learning center providing nutritional and educational support to children in low income neighborhoods in Loveland, Ohio.

Lauren Aiello has a passion for working with children. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in business administration and an AS in early childhood education, and has taught preschool. Lauren founded Kindergarten All Stars in 2010 to enhance the literacy skills of students in half-day programs, as well as to help instill a love of reading and learning.  She managed the former program, The Breakfast Club (TBC), part of L.I.F.E. Food Pantry, serving breakfast to students enrolled in the Free- and Reduced-fee Lunch program at Loveland Schools (Gr. 1-8), and their Weekend Bag program for four years. Lauren and her family have called Loveland/Miami Township home since 2003

Susan Craig has a Master’s Degree in Education and has taught for 19 years. She is a parent, community member and educator who has served Loveland City Schools for the past 14 years. Prior to her work in Loveland, Susan worked in Norwood and Northwest School Districts. Currently, she is the Innovative Instructional Coach for grades 1 through 4. Susan and her husband are raising their two sons in Loveland, where they have resided for the past 14 years.

Jennifer Ginder and her husband Jeff have two daughters attending Loveland schools, and moved here from the Atlanta area.  Jennifer is trained as an attorney and has worked in corporate communications and government relations at the county, state and federal levels.  Before moving to Loveland, Jennifer began a communications and mediation practice, with special interest in divorce and family mediation.

Lara Ferrer is a local volunteer sitting on Family Advisory Council for the Division of Developmental and Behavioral Pediatrics at CCHMC, past coordinator for Mothers of Preschoolers (MOPS) and advocate for children through NEST. She was an educator for over 10 years in Maryland and California in Title 1 schools leading students to rise above circumstance in order to succeed. Lara has a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education, a Master’s in Teaching English as a Second Language and a Math Certificate for teaching mathematics to grades K-5.

Judy Leamy is a District Nurse for Loveland City Schools. Judy’s credentials include RN, BSN and LSN. She works directly with staff and families to serve the health and wellness needs of the children of Loveland. Judy and her husband raised their 3 children in Loveland, where they have resided for the past 27 years.

Scott Pawlikowski has resided in Loveland for over 10 years. He is the proud father of 3 children — one at LHS, LIS and LMS.  As Activities Director, he oversees the entertainment and recreational activities that are part of the NEST community. In addition to Activities Director for the NEST program, he has been active in the Loveland community as a coach of several sports teams, a member of St. Columban parish and an assistant scoutmaster of Boy Scout Troop 888.  

Anita Winning is an Intervention Specialist for Loveland City Schools. She currently works in both the intermediate and middle schools and has taught in the district for over seven years. Before coming to Cincinnati seventeen years ago, Anita taught in both Louisville, KY and New Orleans, LA.
