At NEST, we believe childhood should be filled with learning, laughter, discovery, and the excitement of trying something new. Every child brings their own unique talents, personality, and potential.  We love being part of helping them realize just how much they can accomplish.

Our programs are thoughtfully designed to make the most of these important years. From preparing our youngest learners for kindergarten to helping students strengthen academic skills and explore new adventures during the summer, we create experiences that make learning meaningful and fun. Along the way, we provide nutritious meals, caring mentors, individualized instruction, and plenty of encouragement.

And while improving academic performance is important, what happens beyond the books matters just as much. We're helping children build friendships, gain confidence, develop independence, celebrate accomplishments, and dream a little bigger.

Early Learning Program (ELP)

Bright futures begin with strong foundations!

NEST's Early Learning Program (ELP) brings the magic of preschool directly into the community through a mobile classroom experience. Designed for children ages 4–5, including some morning kindergarten students, the ELP program provides a nurturing, engaging environment where little learners can explore, discover, and grow.

Through hands-on activities, early literacy and math experiences, creative play, and social-emotional learning, students build the confidence, curiosity, and essential skills needed for kindergarten!

Our goal is simple: to ensure every child walks into kindergarten feeling confident, capable, and excited to learn!

  • Mobile classrooms arrive on site from 8:30a-12p on Tuesdays and Thursdays from October – April.

  • Student must be 4 years old by October 1st.

  • Three-hour long sessions are available for students.

  • Students enjoy a healthy snack, story time, guided lessons aimed to achieve Kindergarten readiness and free play options.

  • Supplemental “break bags” are provided to the students to take home over holiday breaks. Break bags also include a breakfast and lunch for each day of the holiday break.

  • Graduations are celebrated when students leave ELP for full day Kindergarten.

After School Tutoring Program (AST)

Early academic intervention is critical to ensuring students develop the skills they need to succeed, overcome challenges, and reach their full potential. When we invest in a student’s education today, we help shape the possibilities of their tomorrow.

NEST's After School Tutoring Program (AST) provides an essential launching pad! Through our AST programs, students receive individualized academic support, nutritious meals, and engaging activities that foster creativity, teamwork, and character development. At NEST, we recognize that every child learns differently, and we are committed to meeting students where they are while helping them discover just how far they can go. Surrounded by passionate volunteer tutors, students discover their strengths, celebrate their achievements, and gain the ability to dream big.

Our goal is to remove barriers and give every student the educational foundation they need to spread their wings and take flight.

  • Launch AST Program serves students in grades 1–4

  • Soar AST Program supports students in grades 5–6.

  • Launch meets Mondays and Tuesdays at Loveland Elementary School from 3:30–5:00 p.m.

  • Soar meets Wednesdays and Thursdays at Loveland Intermediate School from 2:15–3:05 p.m.

  • Students receive a full meal, individualized homework support, and reading intervention.

  • Additional enrichment activities encourage creativity, teamwork, character development, and positive decision-making.

  • 1:1 Tutor to Student ratio.

  • Transportation home is provided through Loveland City Schools.

Summer Lunch, Learn & Play Camp (LLP)

Learning shouldn't stop when the school year ends, and neither should opportunities!

For many students, summer can mean more than a break from the classroom. Summer break can mean lost learning, limited access to nutritious meals, and fewer ways to explore the world around them. NEST's Summer Lunch, Learn & Play Camp bridges this gap by bringing education, nutrition, and adventure directly into the communities we serve.

Over the summer, students are encouraged to learn, try new things and explore their community. Through engaging literacy activities, creative hands-on enrichment, nutritious lunches, exciting field trips, and meaningful friendships, we create a summer experience they won’t soon forget!

At NEST, we believe every child deserves more than just a summer break—they deserve a summer filled with adventures.

  • Summer camp runs for 8 weeks in June and July.

  • Camp runs Tuesday – Thursday, from 10:30am – 3:00 pm.

  • On site activities at Westover Village (and surrounding neighborhoods) and MacArthur Park.

  • Nutritious lunches are provided.

  • Creative arts and crafts, STEM activities, themed learning adventures, and interactive games.

  • Exciting field trips weekly on Thursday afternoons.

  • Field trip transportation provided by Loveland City Schools.
